on wednesday absentmindedly read that your child's elementary school will have half days on thursday and friday due to parent/teacher conference. immediately resume whatever you were doing previously to ensure that any part of the given information is completely forgotten and not recalled until the much latter part of friday evening. (**do not be afraid of the sudden rush of guilt. this is normal.)
upon rememberence, be very thankful that the oldest sibling was home on each occassion to let junior in...but neglect to share those feelings of appreciation with her. (**guilt in this instance will manifest itself more slowly.)
**it is wise not to ignore the accompanying guilt in either instance. a build up of guilt has proven to be the lead cause of many other questionable parental decisions...
